REFLECTION

It was about 9:40 AM when I arrived, but since I had to put on my wetsuit, by the time I left the bathroom everybody was already walking north on the beach.  It was a long and tiring walk.  I was thinking, “By the time I get in the water I’m going to be exhausted.” Although cloudy, it was a beautiful day and the ocean looked calm.  Once in the water though, the current was actually so strong that it took forever to get to where the artificial reef is.  I never appreciated land so much.  When my buddy and I swam back to land, we were laughing and saying, “I love land”.  I didn’t see much in the sea; however, I did see many plants on the beach.

A school of Grunt fish.

Soft coral gorgonian.

Sea grape and sea oats among others.

Plenty of Sargassum along the shoreline.

Sea Purslane.
